I chose this project for my Bat Mitzvah after learning about the lack of acces to clearn water in South Sudan in the book, "The Long Walk to Water."  As some of you may know, my Dad served in the Peace Corps in Africa, so I have heard many of his stories of the many challenges people who live there must face to meet their basic needs.  For my project, I organized a bike ride, sold baked goods and spoke on a youth panel to raise awareness and funds.
