Over the past month, our homeschool book club has read the selection A Long Walk to Water by Linda Sue Park; it is the true story of the founder of this organization! To celebrate the literature and to grow our own awareness and empathy of other cultures and the hardship of lacking clean water and living in war torn nations, our homeschool group is hosting a “Long Walk to Water” fundraiser on April 14th to raise money to meet our goal of sponsoring a rehabilitation project of a well in South Sudan.
